Future Forward Brings in Over $200M to Fund Biden

(IntegrityPress.org) – Future Forward, the largest Super PAC supporting President Joe Biden, amassed a colossal $208 million in funding, setting the stage for Democrats as they prepare for re-election season. This huge amount of money, along with the nearly $100 million raised by the Biden campaign in the last quarter of 2023, positions the President with a financial edge in the upcoming elections.

Future Forward’s overall fundraising is made of contributions to both its super PAC and nonprofit side, Future Forward USA Action. They function as the preferred external channels for the Biden campaign to attract donations from high-profile donors.

Throughout 2023, Future Forward ran pro-Biden advertisements highlighting initiatives such as the Inflation Reduction Act, emphasizing that Biden helped with the capping of insulin prices, and also that he promoted investment in manufacturing jobs. Future Forward also executed a targeted ad campaign aimed at the Latino population in key states like Arizona, Nevada, and Pennsylvania.

Chauncey McLean, President of Future Forward USA Action and Future Forward PAC, expressed the organization’s commitment to large projects, whether it involves informing Americans about President Biden’s cost-reducing measures or explaining to voters the “threat” posed by Donald Trump.

Make America Great Again, Inc., Trump’s primary super PAC, has not revealed its fundraising numbers for 2023. In the first half of the year, it reported having approximately $31 million in cash and raising nearly $15 million. During the same period, Future Forward secured around $50 million.

The Democratic super PAC landscape supporting Biden also extends to entities like American Bridge and Priorities USA. American Bridge recently announced plans to use $140 million for paid ads during the 2024 election cycle, while Priorities USA will use around $75 million for the same.

Known donors to Future Forward include Dustin Moskovitz, co-founder of Facebook, and Jeff Lawson, founder of Twilio. In 2020, the group directed $150 million towards supporting Biden during the elections.
