(IntegrityPress.org) – Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani had harsh words for the political enemies of Donald Trump after an assassination attempt on July 13 resulted in Trump being clipped in the ear and rushed off stage. Trump boldly raised a fist and mouthed “fight” to the crowd before the Secret Service dogpile surrounding him herded him off stage in a protective huddle.
Giuliani said the behavior proved Trump was a great leader and cited a 2016 scare in which Trump had to be evacuated during a campaign event in Reno, saying that Trump similarly wouldn’t leave until he knew everyone else was safe and that the threat wasn’t substantial.
Calling Trump “brave” and “strong,” Giuliani said the former president proved through his actions that he’s a capable leader for the country. He added that Trump is willing to die for his principles and won’t be cowed by Democrats who attempt to malign his reputation or otherwise characterize him as a criminal.
Giuliani said that he instructed former New York City Police Commissioner Bernie Kerik to “be very careful” with the security arrangements for Trump when he had visited the city previously. He additionally highlighted that Trump’s political antagonists have thrown everything they possibly can at the man and yet he continues to gain popularity with the public.
Giuliani called Trump’s antagonists “evil people” without mentioning who specifically he was characterizing as such. He referenced those who attempted to hoist the infamous Russian collusion hoax which marred much of Trump’s first term with accusations he was a puppet of Russian President Vladimir Putin who was somehow able to influence Trump’s 2016 electoral win. In reality, Putin said he has no preference about the 2024 election but added Biden was more “predictable.”
Giuliani also chastised the “feckless press” for its failure to call the Democrats to account of their overt acts of deception, and misleading framing. He called corporate pandering for Joe Biden “a joke” and said that Trump’s enemies are “driven by hatred” and “blind with ambition.”
