(IntegrityPress.org) -Kanye West aka “Ye” is receiving criticism online for sharing footage of him rapping controversial lyrics with explicit language in the presence of his 10-year-old daughter.
Ye was hosting a listening party for a new album in Miami. The new album is entitled “Vultures” and is a collaboration between himself and Ty Dolla $ign. The album was scheduled for a release on Friday, December 15th but release has been postponed, possibly due to the controversy.
Ye has had a wild time fall from grace after going viral with antisemitic remarks about Jews controlling major media last year. The album release would mark his attempted return to the spotlight. Ye collaborated with Offset, Chris Brown, and Kodak Black during its production.
A short clip taken at the party showed Ye wearing a black version of a Ku Klux Klan hood rapping about intercourse he had with a Jewish b**ch while his 10-year-daughter, North, danced on the stage right behind him.
The lyrics continued to discuss getting “pregnant in a threesome” and the confusion as to who the father was.
Ye had two other young children at the party, including daughter Chicago, 5, and son Saint, 8.
North herself is on the album as well, though the lyrics she raps are relatively mundane by comparison.
Reddit users pointed out that someone else on stage was smoking drugs while Ye was rapping adult lyrics in front of his young children, indicating the environment was wholly inappropriate for them. Someone else suggested there was “Nazi imagery all over the promotion” efforts. Another commenter complained that his ten-year-old daughter was on stage being exposed to someone smoking weed while her father espoused “jibber jabber garbage lyrics.”
Ye’s defenders said he was trying to evolve the use of offensive symbols, while someone else claimed he was way ahead of his time.
