W.H.O.’s Pandemic Treaty Fails

(IntegrityPress.org) – A new proposal from the World Health Organization (WHO) to establish a “pandemic treaty” failed to proceed after member nations couldn’t come to terms on the wording. The May 24 deadline passed without agreement on amendments to International Health Regulations (IHR), meaning there won’t be a new sweeping international accord on how to approach and handle pandemics.

The WHO suggested that the world needs to be prepared for another pandemic which it lovingly calls “Disease X.” Many have pointed out that the WHO is referring to an unknown disease with the same name Elon Musk rebranded Twitter. The WHO was incredibly critical of the public sharing information that challenged its narratives during the pandemic and many people who contradicted its claims had their Twitter accounts suspended under previous management.

Critics have highlighted that the international treaty and updates to the IHR would enshrine a lot of pandemic policies that threatened individual freedom and national sovereignty. Some of the proposals squashed included setting up an international surveillance system, including “health passports,” and “equitable access to vaccines,” which is a euphemistic way of saying poor people and minorities will be guinea pigs for experimental injections.

CEO of Children’s Health Defense Mary Holland celebrated the news, and credited international opposition and criticism from the public. She called it a “huge tribute to civic action” and said that the framework for a legal infrastructure related to pandemic power grabs is dead for the time being.

Acolytes of pandemic policy who prefer international controls and less freedom will continue to advance agendas like this in the future. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus indicated that there will be ongoing efforts to establish global medical controls.

Dr. Meryl Nass opposed the measures and said that the failure is guaranteed at least for now. Nass called opposition to the policy a win for democracy against a “one-world government.”

Over 100 former politicians encouraged the WHO to pass the amendments back in March. President Joe Biden also encouraged the adoption and approval of the new totalitarian measures.
