(IntegrityPress.org) – Last year Congress quietly passed House Resolution 3832 otherwise called the Disease X Act of 2023. The vaguely worded and potentially far-reaching law was paralleled by a panel on “Disease X” held in Davos at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) on January 17th.
WEF speakers invoked the dread mystery illness, suggesting it could be twenty times more lethal than the previous pandemic. Considering that disease had an incredibly low infection-fatality rate of less than 1%, almost any serious outbreak will be more deadly than it was.
Nevertheless, global businessmen and policy makers will use the threat to justify more potential mandatory medical interventions like we saw in the previous kerfuffle. Mandatory mask-wearing in public, experimental medical injections that are required if you want to travel or earn income, flat travel restrictions and more are all liberty-violating practices technocrats would love to be able to enforce upon the planet’s population on a whim.
The Disease X Act established a new program within the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) to develop countermeasures for potential future pandemic outbreaks.
Reporting from Kevin Bardosh from the WEF panel suggests its speakers are more concerned about “misinformation” than they are an actual lethal disease. One of the first subjects tackled by the panel leader Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyusus, head of the World Health Organization (WHO) suggested that “misinformation” was one of the greatest threats to the world in 2024.
Social media criticism that concern over Disease X could lead to bringing back pandemic-era lockdowns and other radically unpopular yet enforced interventions were ignored by Tedros who vaguely criticized the legitimate concerns of the global public as “misinformation.”
The unpopularity of lockdowns and heavily coerced medical interventions wasn’t mentioned during the panel. The theme of this year’s meeting was “Rebuilding Trust,” though speakers were very hesitant to highlight why the public had lost trust: nearly all of the claims from the establishment about the pandemic and the interventions were incorrect or outright lies.
