Vegas Attorney and Wife Killed in Office Shooting

(IntegrityPress.org) – Ashley Prince and her husband, Dennis Prince were the victims of a murder-suicide during a custody deposition against Ashley’s ex-husband, Dylan Houston.

Las Vegas-based attorney Dennis Prince was killed, along with his wife, Ashley, whom he was representing in the custody proceedings against her ex-husband on Monday, April 8. The pair were shot and killed by the Joe Houston II, the attorney representing Ashley’s ex-husband, Dylan Houston. To complicate things further, Joe Houston II was also the father of Ashley’s ex-husband, Dylan Houston. Although it is not known if this contributed to the reason behind the murders, it was later revealed that Joe Houston was struggling with terminal cancer.

The shooting occurred in the fifth-floor office of Prince Law Group. According to court records, the custody battle has been ongoing since 2021. It’s unclear what provoked the incident, but what is known is that just after 10 a.m. Joe Houston allegedly pulled out a firearm and shot and killed Ashley and Dennis Prince before turning the weapon on himself.

A recent filing showed that the couple was negotiating the terms regarding how their children were going to be handled. LVMPD Lt. Jason Johansson said that Joe Houston was the shooter in comments given to the press.

Family friends of the Princes confirmed that the couple recently had a baby. Dennis Prince was a regular contributor on local network 8 News Now where he gave comment on civil cases.

Prince Law Group issued a statement expressing its “profound sadness” and appreciation for everyone who has thus far expressed kind sentiments. They asked that the privacy of the victims’ families be respected as the investigations continue.

Robert Eglet is a former law partner of Dennis Prince who described him as a “wonderful father,” adding that his death was a hit to the entire community. Another friend, Tom Letizia, said that the news was “devastating” and called Prince one of the best attorneys in Nevada.

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford was a former law partner who called Dennis Prince “a brilliant attorney,” additionally expressed his sympathy for the family and children of the deceased.
